Dr. Kim Leis-Keeling is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic by the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the University of the State of New York Education Department. She graduated from Northwestern Health Science University in Bloomington, MN in 2003. She is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. She holds two Bachelor degrees in Exercise Science and Business Management from Concordia University. While attending Concordia, she was a member of the intercollegiate volleyball, basketball and track teams.
Dr. Keeling has a special interest in Sports Chiropractic. In 2014, she was invited to do a chiropractic rotation with the United States Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid. She worked with the athletes trying out for TEAM USA for Bobsled, Skeleton and Luge. She is currently working on achieving Diplomate status with American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Keeling has also completed a post graduate program in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine. She has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2003 through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has worked as an exercise specialist and personal trainer for 7 years while living in Chicago and Minneapolis.
Dr. Keeling specializes in sports related injuries and running performance enhancement and has treated many conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain, disc injuries, plantar fascitis, muscular pain, carpal tunnel and more. She also worked with many children and families to maintain their wellness needs. She has worked extensively with running clubs in Minnesota as a coach and giving seminars on stretching, injury prevention and sports nutrition. Dr. Keeling has treated many grade school and high school athletes, college and Olympic athletes in all areas from injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and sports performance.
Dr. Keeling has used her education and knowledge to support local sports team when she practiced in Minnesota.She acted as team chiropractic physician for Burnsville High School Rugby Team, Faithful Shepherd Football Team and Dakota County Technical College Soccer/Baseball Teams. She volunteered as attending chiropractic physician and EMT for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day for the Cure and the Minnesota Special Olympics. She provided chiropractic and sports medicine care for the St. Paul Pioneers Semi-Pro Football Team, National Junior Olympics Taekwondo Championships, Professional Disc Golf Association and Minneapolis Rugby. Recently, Dr. Keeling has been invited to join TEAM USA as a member of sports medicine team in fall of 2014 at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid.
Dr. Keeling moved to the Capital District in 2011 with her husband Mark and two children. Her hobbies include fitness, weightlifting, skiing, archery, attending educational seminars, hiking, camping, gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Amanda Boccio is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic by the University of the State of New York Education Department. She graduated with honors from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, where she earned both her Chiropractic and Masters of Applied Clinical Nutrition degrees in 2013. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Sports Science & Human Performance.
Dr. Boccio’s expertise and special interest in sports medicine and athletic injuries began in her undergraduate studies at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. While at Ithaca College, she was a member of the varsity cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams. She is a 4-time participant in the Division III National Cross Country Championships, as well as a Boston Marathon qualifier and finisher. As an avid runner, Dr. Boccio has experienced firsthand the power of conservative chiropractic care in her ability to stay healthy and active.
Dr. Boccio specializes in recognizing, assessing, and treating sports-related spinal and extremity conditions. Her goal is to educate her patients about the importance of becoming actively involved in their care in order to help them achieve their health and wellness related goals. Dr. Boccio utilizes a variety of treatment methods including: traditional and low force adjusting, soft tissue techniques, therapeutic exercise, injury rehabilitation, Kinesiotaping, and nutritional counseling to maximize healing, performance, and overall health and well-being!
As a Guilderland native, Dr. Boccio is proud to be back in the Capital District to serve her hometown community. In her free time, she enjoys long-distance running, being outdoors, cooking and baking, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
Dr. Richard L. Schmidt, Jr., DC, ART is a Doctor of Chiropractic licensed by The New York State Office of Professions since 2000. He has been in private practice in Walton NY for the past twenty years. He graduated with honors from The State University of New York at Albany and Life University School of Chiropractic. In 2014 he began to study Active Release Techniques. Active Release is designed to quickly reduce pain and improve function by releasing restrictions and entrapments that occur due to injury and overuse. Dr. Schmidt holds full body and advanced certifications in this technique and is a member of The ART Elite Provider Network. With two decades of experience, Dr. Schmidt has successfully treated a wide range of conditions in patients of all ages. He primarily performs manual adjustments of the spine and extremities combined with Active Release Techniques. He is also experienced in flexion/distraction, Activator Instrument adjusting, and other methods for patients that require a different approach. Dr. Schmidt specializes in evaluating the whole body for proper function and focusing on resolving the problems that cause pain and reduce performance.
Sharon O’Meara, LMT Sharon is a licensed massage therapist with a strong foundation in structural integration of the body. She is passionate about educating and assisting her clients in their rehabilitation process. Her area of expertise is on the injuries caused by repetitive movements, sport injuries and injury prevention. In addition, she has also been instructing Pilates for ten years and is a trained Comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor. Ruanna began serving the Guilderland community in 2005. She finds the small town atmosphere very appealing and loves, living, working and doing business here. Ruanna and her husband have lived in the Guilderland area since 2011.
Ruanna became an assistant manager in 2008, and managed a staff that provided insurance related office support and friendly customer service. She is ABO certified in the field of optics and is now looking forward to learning what makes a chiropractic office tick.
Since 2015, she has worked for an Altamont based psychology practice, where she retains a part-time position as Office Manager.
On a personal level, Ruanna dedicates much energy to her grandson, Xander.
Pam is a Receptionist here at the Sports & Spinal Wellness Center. She has been part of the team for just for 2 years. Pam lives in Guilderland with her husband, Peter; daughter, Gabby, who is a psychology major at SUNY Geneseo; son Zach, who attends Guilderland High School. Pam grew up in Saugerties, graduating high school in 1980. From there she attended U.C.C.C. and worked in various departments in Ulster County before settling in as an Administrative Assistant in the Ulster County Clerk's office before her children came along. The family relocated, with her husband's job, to Atlanta, GA in 1993. They lived in the suburbs of Atlanta for almost 10 years before moving back to NY. Pam has been an avid chiropractic patient, since 1997; a patient of the Spinal Wellness Center since 2004, and became a part of the front desk team in 2011.
Hobbies include reading, traveling, gardening (although can't seem to grow a tomato worth eating no matter how hard she tries), dabbles in writing, watching her daughter on stage and her son play both football and baseball.

Patti Percoski joined our practice in August of 2013 after working with Dr. Irwin in his practice since 2007. Patti lives in Altamont with her husband, Bernie. They are the proud parents of Matthew and Mandi and are thrilled to be new grandparents of six month old Paige and Eric, Mandi and her husband Keith's twins. Patti enjoys spending time with her family, camping, traveling and entertaining friends at their home in the country. One of her favorite past times is mowing the lawn! It gives her time to reflect on life's many adventures and challenges. Patti is also a patient of the clinic and strongly believes in it's benefits and purpose.
